Matias and I have taken Turbo for a walk every day bar one. We think he's a brilliant chap. On Sunday we met Cheree, a nice woman who volunteers as a dog walker at DARG three times a week. She's known Turbo since 2001, and she could tell us a lot about him. (He was rescued in 2001 when he was about 4-5 months. His mange was so bad he was almost put to sleep but thanks to Cheree he was moved to DARG, where they oppose putting dogs to sleep). Turbo is one of Cheree's favourite dogs. We agreed on keeping in contact after we take Turbo home. Matias took 16 dogs for walks with Cheree and hopes to do it again soon.
Turbo *loves* swimming. We take him to a river that splits Hout Bay into two. He reminds me of Astrid's and Wolfgang's Mary as he's so enthusiastic when he sees water. I'm convinced he's partly a retriever. He must have a chunk of labrador in him. He's smaller than Alsatians, and even smaller than labs. His dark markings are those of Alsatians, and his lighter colouring is that of a yellow lab. His correct 'breed' is Africanis.
We've asked for a permission from the Body Corporate to take Turbo here with us (our landlords have been uncontactable for almost as long as we've lived here). We're keeping our fingers crossed, but are not too hopeful, as it was already quite good of them to let us have Megan and Siru here.

There were some great news waiting for us at DARG: Dixie got a new home yesterday.

Meidan pitaa ensin saada lupa näiltä ihmisiltä missä me asutaan. Luultavasti ne ei anna lupaa koska järjestyssäännöissä kielletään koirien pitäminen näissä taloissa :( Siinä tapauksessa meidän pitää odottaa että muutetaan jonnekin muualle.
