A faulty plug was not the cause of my car backfiring, but the result of it. There was some corrosion in a cable somewhere, which caused the backfiring and broke the plug. All is well now, thanks to the local, friendly AL-TECH garage. They had even washed my car inside and out.
Seija has given us a hand in transporting Matias to school, and she has also organised Matias a ride home. This has been greatly appreciated. Joona came to our house after school today. The boys played hide-n-seek, which they have done a lot lately, and built some castles with Legos. India and I played with salt dough (1 mug of salt, 1 mug of flower and a bit of water).
Megan and I walked to the crèche in the afternoon, to pick India up. The exceptionally strong wind made walking a small challenge, as it pushed the buggy around and carried sand with it. (The problem with sand in the air is not only that it gets into the eyes and the mouth, and up the nose, but if the wind is strong enough the sand hits you so hard it stings). There was a handful of us women walking on the road Northbound with an empty buggy, and then back South again with a child in the buggy. I was the only mum walking. The other walkers were nannies, and one of them even commented "So you don't have a nanny, then". (Yep, that's me, the poor mum who has to pick her child up by herself, on foot! Lol)
