It was cloudy when we woke up this morning, wonderfully cloudy. You could feel it would rain later on. After a long stretch of +33 degrees (where's the little zero on this keyboard anyway?) Celsius days it was now ten degrees less, and we could finally go for a walk.
We got Turbo from the kennels and drove the car to the western part of Hout Bay, somewhere near Landudno. I'd never been there before, but Heikki, India and my father had walked there sometime before Christmas.
The views were just wonderful. We walked along a path in the national park, between the fynbos bushes and over a dune about 5 metres high. The dune had only been there for a couple of weeks. It was slowly but constantly moving along towards west with the wind, down the hill and also into our eyes and hair.
It was wonderfully cool, and the drizzle felt good against my face. Heikki took some photos. The views would have been even better had the sky been clear, but then it would have been uncomfortably hot.
The dogs enjoyed the cool day, too. Megan dashed around with her sticks and Siru walked around minding her own business, while Turbo wagged his tail and concentrated on getting cuddles from us.
