Garden emerging from building materials

This week the builders have been cleaning up. The rafters are finished so there is less supporting structures obscuring movement in the loft. Building rubbish from loft have been removed so that the floor boards are visible. The skylight windows are in place. The boards where the vertical window frames are to be mounted in have been put in place. These the holes for the frames are yet to be cut. The thatching progressing fast. It is gradually becoming possible to see how the loft area could be divided into bed rooms, bathrooms and living area.

The poles that have been lying all around the from garden have been removed. The lawn is full of yellowed marks from things that have been lying on it too long but at least it is possible to walk around freely.

We fetched some materials from the hardware store in Tokai on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, Minna cut the grass and I trimmed the hedges, cleaned the pool and treated the garden furniture.

Without builders constantly messing up, we could get the garden and the house quickly in ship shape.
