When India was little, we could sometimes tell what she was dreaming about. We taught her baby sign language so she could communicate better and earlier than with words. She started signing at 8 months old, and within a couple of months could say things like "I want to hug grandma". She sometimes signed in her sleep.
India doesn't sign any more, although she does enjoy watching a Sing and Sign music DVD.
India has been ill since Saturday, and has had strong dreams, maybe because of her fever. This morning she woke up and cried for Daddy. I went to get Heikki, who was measuring our sauna. When Heikki came to the bedroom, India started crying and wanted to be hugged. Then she told us of a dinosaur that had gone in Daddy's mouth, and of a dinosaur that had eaten a bird.
Childhood is not a carefree time.
