As the roof builders didn't arrive this morning at 8, Heikki phoned them. I wasn't the one talking to them, so I don't know if they were even appologetic. They told Heikki that the planning permission hasn't gone through yet, so they're not starting the work yet. No one hadn't bothered to inform us.
Before we had time to say mugh more than "Bugger", our friend came to our house. She was terribly upset and couldn't say a word. She got me in to one of the bedrooms, away from Heikki and Dan, and told me her husband had disappeared on Friday. She'd chucked his clothes and things out of the house at the weekend. He'd returned home at 8 this morning. She'd told him she'd gone to the police station and he'd have to leave the house today.
