I forgot to mention that we had two burst pipes in the house yesterday. The pipes were revealed while a wall was demolished. I'm not sure how they managed to drill away such big chunks of the pipes, unless they just continued drilling and hacking regardless of the Niagara falls caused. Lots of water everywhere, but not a major disaster as the water was clean.
Today, the men took down a cupboard that was between our little dining room and the old outside toilet. Joyce and I immediately saw a use for this door-width hole. We'll now have access from our old dining room to the new laundry room.
The men then took down a section between our old bedroom / new kitchen, and the sitting room. Tomorrow, they'll start taking down the wall between the sitting room and the old kitchen, making us a nice big sitting room. They'll also break a new opening for double doors to Matias's old room, the new study.
Progress, and dust.
In the midst of this all, we have yet another puppy. (Sorry, Heikki, but you had to find out). He's a little sweetie-pie. Fluffy and long nosed. He'll stay with us just a couple of days, so will be gone by the time Heikki comes back from Spain, or soon after.
