One night to go

I spent the day in my pyjamas baking away in the kitchen: gingerbreads, Christmas porridge, carrot-bake, sweet macaroni-bake, Italian salad & rosolli. The potato bake is half-way there. We'll have to do without suede-bake as I couldn't find any suede anywhere. No christmas tarts (joulutorttu), either. Instead, we'll have Christmas sushi. India liked "making Pippi" with me, i.e. she cut the gingerbread dough like Pippi Longstocking did on India's DVD. Matias helped me decorate the gingerbreads before going off to see The Narnia Chronicles with Daniel from next door.

Later in the evening we had a session of Liverpool Rum, a card game our mothers taught us. Matias beat us with his hands down: Matias +560, Heikki +85 and Minna +180 (and this was after Matias gave away a win to Heikki by holding back a Joker in his hand - he wanted to be nice to daddy and let him win the round).
