I felt paralyzed after the theft of my laptop. Although I could access the Internet on other machines, I didn't feel I was properly on line. I got a new MacBook now and feel right at home.
A lot has happened since the theft and my last entries. India is now at school and I've resigned from the job I loved. Other things in life are just as we left them when I last wrote on the blog: the workmen are still working upstairs, having so far doubled the estimated duration of the project. The thatchers' very final 2 week project has now been going on for four months.
