Matias, India and I are planning to sleep upstairs tonight. The renovation isn't complete yet, but the kids can't wait to sleep up there so we'll camp out on Matias' floor. The electrical stuff is unfinished, the floors need to be treated and some minor issues need to be taken care of (such as hot water coming out of cold water taps and vice versa.) We can still enjoy a movie night upstairs, under the thatch. Looking forward to it.
Another minor problem we're facing is, that we can't move almost anything upstairs even when the floors are finished. This is because the new floor partially covers the staircase that was narrow to begin with. Until we make a hole for the new staircase we can't get the bulkier furniture up. Hopefully we can start phase 3 (renovating most of the middle floor) soon.
