DARG

Matias, India and I help out at the local domestic animal rescue kennels. We adopted one of our dogs, Turbo, from there a year and a half back. Now we look after orphaned and injured puppies. We take them home and give them the care they need.

Matias now also spends his weekends and holidays at DARG, looking after the dogs and donkeys. Matias has two wonderful friends there: Grace and Tamsin. They're a year younger and older than Matias, respectively, and they are a great team.

We're looking after two pups now: Lady and Jude. Lady is an Alsatian and she belongs to someone from the local township. Unfortunately, she was run over by a car and there's a threat she'll lose one of her legs. I'm doing my best to get her better. I medicate and take her to the doctors, which is something that the owners wouldn't (be able to) do. Jude is a white pitbull. He was brought to DARG from the township in quite a bad shape. He had mange and nutritional problems. He has rickets. He's now eating proper food, which might take care of the problem. Then again, he might have a problem with his gastrointestinal tract, which means he doesn't absorb the nutrients and even proper food won't help. Lets hope all goes well and my pups get better.
