Camping

When you feel like camping, in England you go to a nice camping ground, in Finland you just head to a forest, but here you have to think of your safety. The kids' school organises a night of camping on the school grounds once a year. We went with the scandinavians.

Teppo, one of the local Finns, had organised 'the perfect' camp. He had a big tent, tables and chairs, a BBQ, electricity for lights, 50 litres of beer, and a video projector.

We had a great evening eating & drinking, chatting and laughing with friends, and listening to Robbie Williams. Later on in the night we all, us adults and 20 or so kids, went for a ghost hunt in one of the school buildings. The children were adamant there was something in there, so we all went to investigate. We found no ghosts and not even a baboon.
