Yesterday morning, there was a phone call from one of Cape Town's private hospitals. It was regarding a man who had checked in the previous night. He had given our landline number as his home number. I'd never heard of such a person.
Late last night, there were two ladies at our gate asking if one of our dogs was missing. Heikki went to check the dog. It was a large, furry, over eaten malamute kind of a dog - not one of ours. And not one of the previous owners' ones, either. Yet, it had a tag in the collar with our address written on it. The ladies said they'd keep the dog for now.
This morning, a man came to the gate to bring our dog home. Matias did a head count and convinced him over the intercom that the dog wasn't ours. I assume it was the same dog as last night.
