We have a bees' nest in the garden. We tried to clear that corner of our plot some time ago, with the outcome that the bees attacked Heikki and one of the dogs. The stings Heikki got were the size of a dinner plate.
Heikki called for some bee keepers last week. The men came on Friday. They located the nest and moved the queen to a beehive. The hive is now next to the original nest, and the bees are settling in. The men will come and take the hive and bees with them this week.
Poor Heikki, who is still limping badly from his fall two weeks ago, stepped on a bee when coming from the sauna last night. I dug the spike from the sole of his foot and felt very, very sorry for him.
