The world revolves around puppies

Puppies, too little sleep, a bit of work, and that's about it.

We returned litter number 1 to the kennels on Sunday. We visited them on Monday. They were doing fine, and Princess Belle had found a home.

Litter number 2 (with 3 miniature pups) are active. They are only about the size of a shoe but they roam inside the house with no fear whatsoever. They're braver than the first litter, and very determined. Vanilla sniffed Dan's food and climbed (catlike) on to the table using a chair and Dan as a ladder.

Litter number 3 (with painted fingernails) have their eyes open now and their ears seem to be open, too. Thir teeth appeared yesterday. They live in a basket in the sitting room. We tried to stuff them with food (by feeding them often) the first couple of nights thinking they would then let us sleep in the night. Bad planning. The more we fed them the sooner they woke up to go to the toilet. Now they eat as much as they want in the evening, wake up once for a wee in the night, and then wake up to eat in the morning. We need as many hands as possible during feeding time. There's the milk to be prepared, the pups need a wash, their bed needs to be changed, and we need to help them relieve themselves before and after eating.
