Heikki and Matias washed Turbo today, as the flea/tick medication had now had 3 days time to do its business. He smells like flowers now.
Meanwhile, I organized our paperwork. I collected papers into closer to thirty carefully laid out piles on the floor. Our sitting room is huge, like all the rooms in the house. It’s the size of about 3 normal sized rooms, so there’s plenty of space to lie out papers.
It is quite amazing how wonderful a dog can grow up to be even if he spends the first five years of his life in a rescue centre.
Turbo is a loving character. He would like to spend his day being hugged and petted, and by licking us. He is full of energy.
Since Turbo has never been inside a house before, he hasn’t learned this side of things puppies normally learns. Watching him has been quite hilarious at times.
Turbo ran into a corridor with a full-length mirror at the end. He was so surprised at what he saw in the mirror, that he jumped backwards and then charged at the mirror barking.
He ran around happily in our bedroom and then, trying to get to the lush garden, ran straight into a glass door. He was quite confused about this invisible obstacle.
He enjoys running above boulders and hills, so he also enjoys running over beds, chairs and sofas. He seems to think the higher he can get the better.
Turbo can’t yet quite manage with the tiled floors in the entrance hall and the kitchen. He crouches down and tries to walk, but his legs tend to go from under him and he lands on his stomach, especially if he tries to walk quickly.
He is OK with the carpets, though, but he doesn’t otherwise pay any attention to the terrain. So he paid no attention to my carefully laid out paper piles and ran straight on top of them. The poor chap did not know what hit him, and he skated and slid on the papers like Bambi on ice.
