Busy day at the house - at last

The day is barely past midday and building-wise it has been the busiest day this year.
  • Glen the plumber has started digging up the floor of the laundry area to lay new waste disposal pipes underneath.
  • Marten from thatchers came to do a proper fix to the gutter behind the new gable that started leaking in the heavy rain. It was important to get that done as there is more rain promised for this week. edn He also used his long ladders to cut tree branches reaching almost to the house from the neighbour's side. The neighbour promised to prune their trees more once the leaves have fallen off. Already now, there is a lot more light at the back of the house.
  • I managed to convince Coastal Security to send in a technician to make sure that the alarm system affected by the leaking water from the roof can be safely turned on.
  • Beverly the electrician came to install a new motor for the other garage door. This one is with a battery so it will work even when there is a power cut. His men fixed the gate release, so the that it can be opened from inside the house.
That is four different groups in in one morning.
