The Ship Wreck Trail

At last Matias was feeling a little better from his stomach bug or cold or whatever it was . Last Sunday morning we got up early and drove to Cape Point. A short walk took us from Black Rocks to Venus Pool. A returning fisherman had seen otters there.

We met Teppo's family at Olifantsbos a little later and hiked the circular Ship Wreck trail for two and half hours: Dunes, ship wrecks and tortoises. Wind was picking up so it was good to return over the cliffs.

The main attractions are the remains of two ships: SS Thomas T. Tucker and Nolloth.

We took lunch at the Two Oceans Restaurant. Inside, which was good because the baboons were worse than ever. Snacks and even bags were torn from tourist's hands.
