I spent two days preparing the traditional Finnish Christmas feast. On the 23rd we went to sing carols at a church nearby, where India's classmate's mum played the violin.
We ate rice porridge for breakfast on Christmas Eve morning, then went to the sauna & for a swim in the pool, and had the Christmas meal.
Santa didn't come inside our house this year. Last year India thought Santa looked familiar, just like Matias, so this year Santa only came to the gate. He rang the buzzer and we talked to him over the intercom, and we could see him through the security camera. We didn't spot any of his reindeer. Apparently they were eating a snack nearby.
We started opening the presents at seven and continued for the next four hours, as the children had the patience to examine all the presents in detail, and even play with some of them.
Thank you Santa for the wonderful presents.
