We had not been at Cape Point for awhile. Imagine our surprise when a large area in the North-Western plains had turned into cinders in our absence. There had been a controlled fire that in the end was not so controlled that wiped out all the plants.
They had managed to stop the fire at the main road. The other side of the road was just a few meters away completely unchanged. What a contrast!
