Calculator

India has been ill since Wednesday. She's been in bed watching DVDs she got from Yuri and Timur, reading books with Heikki, painting/drawing with me, as well as doing some activity books.

India found Milja's calculator and typed in the numbers in an order. India has learned to do basic math at school so I showed her how to use the calculator for additions. She sat under the duvet, coming up with tasks, counting with her fingers, typing them in the calculator, and being thrilled the machine never made mistakes.

Matias doesn't like to use the calculator for math. He likes problems and thinks the calculator only deprives his brain from activity. His old math teacher could do the problems quicker than a calculator and he's aiming for the same. Occasionally, he uses the calculator to check he has done a problem correctly, or to prove to me that - yes - he knows how to use it.
